As our Easter holidays end and our next term begins on Monday 20th of April, we want to outline our plan for Transition year students:
- Our TY Co-ordinator, Ms. Garvey will email a document called “Review of Learning experiences throughout TY” to all the students. This is a reflective document and completing it will help the students reflect on their learning experiences over the whole year. The Review of Learning document will become the basis for the final TY interview assessment. The students will be given 10 days to complete the document and email it back to Ms. Garvey.
- The schedule for the TY final Assessment interviews will be published and all students will be informed. The interview panel, of two teachers will interview each students and the interview will explore and expand on the topics in the Review of Learning Experiences.
- Student are also asked to complete at least one additional module in their MOUS exams as it is now possible to do both the practice exams and the actual exam from home. Student will need to contact Mr. Lally to setup sitting the exams from home.
- Students will be able to complete all modules contained in the Microsoft Office User Specials (MOUS) suite over the summer if they want to.
It is important that our TY students complete their Review of Learning Experiences document as this will bring their transition year to a natural end and will facilitate their preparation for their final assessment interview.
