New School Campus, Arklow CBS
The Board of Management and the staff of Arklow CBS are delighted with the latest news on the progress of our new school campus. The National Development Finance agency (NDFA) which is supporting the Department of Education and Skills by delivering an element of the Department's school building programme on its behalf have been in contact. They have just informed us that they will shortly be releasing a Prior Information Notice (PIN) to the market with a view to stimulating interest in the school building programme. This PIN is separate to the tendering process and is typically issued approximately 4 weeks in advance of the tendering process commencing.
Arklow CBS is one of six schools included in the Project Dargle Programme. A framework of project management and design team consultants has already been appointed for the programme and the process to appoint teams to the Project Dargle is now underway. So as you can things are well on the way and the school community is very excited!
Our new building will be a state of the art facility and will have a total floor area of 6913 M2. THE NDFA have given us a completion date of 2023. It will consist of the following rooms:
