School News 04 Feb 22
10-February-22

On Monday, Transition Year students attended the Mermaid Arts Theatre in Bray to watch the comedy production Psycho Spaghetti written and performed by successful Irish comedian Ger Carey. We were very lucky to get the opportunity to see this popular stand-up comedy act where “the weird and frightening world of the teenager” was explored through the laugh-out-loud performance. The show appreciated the diversity of others in a non-judgemental way. It was a fun learning experience as challenging, yet every day, situations facing teenagers were the focus of the production. An enjoyable morning away from the books followed by lunch at the boys’ favourite Service Station made for a most enjoyable start to the T.Y. week.

Thank you to Ms. Garvey and Ms. Carey for organising.

TY Bank

TY Bank is opening at lunch time next week This initiative is in association with Bank of Ireland. The TY students will provide students with information on opening a current account during the week. Good luck to all.

TY Walking tour of Dublin

TY students completed the Dublin Walking Tour on Thursday with the Yellow Umbrella Tour. The students visited a variety of sights around Dublin including Christ Church, Temple Bar and Dublin Castle followed by a leisurely lunch on Grafton Street. The students learned lots of interesting facts and clocked up lots of steps on this most enjoyable day out. Thanks to Mr Nolan, Ms Garvey and Majella for organising and accompanying our students.
