Happy New Year!
The staff and management at Arklow CBS would like to take this opportunity to wish all our school community a very happy new year. We hope that 2023 is a year full of happiness and health for all.
Transition Year Showcase Evening
Our Transition Year students took part in a showcase evening on Friday 16th December. This evening was to replace the traditional parent teacher meeting. Students showcased their work from their various subjects including spring onions and chillies that they had grown in the poly-tunnel. All of this home produce was then taken home with Transition Year parents and guardians.
Christmas Concert
Well done to all students and staff who participated in our Christmas Concert on the last day of term. As always it was a thoroughly enjoyable morning and the highlight of the school calendar for many. Every year the audience is amazed and mesmerised by the amount of musical talent showcased. Many thanks to Ms. Lee for all her hard work in organising.
Co. Wicklow All Star Awards
Congratulations to our senior students Paidí Kavanagh and Tiernan Gahan on being nominated for the minor 2022 footballer of the year award. Both students have had very successful years on the sporting fields of Wicklow.
Parent- Teacher Meeting
Next Thursday 12th January our 1st Year Parent-Teacher meeting will take place online via students Microsoft Teams account. Classes will finish at 3.10pm to facilitate this.
Mr. Ó Griallais
We are always thinking of our dear friend and colleague Máirtín Ó’Griallais, but in particular at this time of year. It is just over a year since his untimely passing, a loved and respected teacher who has left a lasting legacy. Máirtín is greatly missed by staff and students of Arklow CBS. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilis.
