Basketball News

Arklow CBS played local rivals Gaelcholáiste na Mara and came out with a comprehensive victory that puts them one step closer to reaching a playoff place. Standing in their way will be Gorey Community School on the 8th of November where victory will put the Arklow Boys through. Thursday’s game was another step closer and it was an excellent team performance which saw the CBS safely to the win. The first quarter saw a dominant performance rewarded with a 15-4 score line. Patrick Dickenson led the line with a superb performance which saw him net 9 of the scores, with three of those points coming from free throws. The second quarter put the result in little doubt with 12 points to 2 in favour of the CBS. Jeddy Osuji was the main scorer in that quarter 8 points. The CBS kept the score board ticking over in the final two quarters to win on a show line of 39 points to 8. MVP on the day was Patrick Dickenson with 15 points, followed by Jeddy Osuji with 8. Completely the scoring was Nazar Sykal and Tony Xue with 4 points each and with 2 points each were Yehor Sykal, Hugo Merino and Niall O'Donovan.

Soccer News

Our u15 soccer team played their second game of the year on Thursday playing in the first round of the Leinster Cup. The lads left a stormy Arklow and travelled down the motorway to a dry Kilmore to play a big and physical Bridgetown College team. The CBS boys started off slow scoring two goals, which we’re followed up by two good Bridgetown goals. Leaving the game 2-2 at halftime. Thankfully Arklow started to come to life in the second half by putting away their chances, which helped to bring them to a comfortable 7-3 victory.

Camino de Santiago

A huge well done to first year student Ross Landy on his impressive achievement of finishing his Camino walk. Ross completed an amazing 130km trek enduring horrendous weather along the way!
