Class of 2023 Graduation Ceremony

The staff of Arklow CBS would like to take this opportunity to wish our Leaving Cert class of 2023 the very best of luck in their upcoming Leaving Cert exams and for the future. The staff and students enjoyed our Graduation mass and awards ceremony on Thursday which was attended by the student’s proud parents and families. Awards were given in the various subjects as well as sports awards. Congratulations to Shree Shingnapure on winning the student of the year award. A huge amount of work and preparation went into the organising of the night. A huge thank you to all the staff who helped in the organising to ensure a fantastic ceremony was had by all.

1st Year school tour

Our 1st Years enjoyed a fun filled day last week with a school tour to Leisuremax, Wexford. Students took part in several fun activities such as escape rooms, laser tag, bowling and many more. It was a fantastic way to bring a very successful first year at Arklow CBS to an end.

Sports Awards

Our senior footballers and junior hurlers were presented with their medals and awards this week in what was a hugely successful year on the sporting pitch for Arklow CBS.

Both teams were very successful with the footballers doing the double in the South east Leinster Championships and Wicklow Senior A Plate. Our junior hurlers clinched the South Leinster Junior C title. A huge well done to all involved in what was the most successful sporting year for Arklow CBS in a while.

Arklow CBS Music students perform at the Helix Theatre.

Last week some of our music students and Ms. Lee were invited to perform at the ERST International Conference in the Helix Theatre at DCU. The students performed for the closing ceremony of the conference. Well done to all involved in this fantastic experience and to Ms.Lee and Majella for accompanying the students.

Ty Trips

This week our TYs head off on two school trips. They started the week with a 20km of the Waterford Greenway. They left school 8am and started the cycle in Kilmacthomas finishing up in Dungarvan. The sun was shining, and the lads got plenty of exercise in stunning countryside. Thank you to Ms. T Kinsella and Ms. Garvey for accompanying the students.

Wednesday saw the TYs head to Hidden Valley Resort in Rathdrum for a day of water activities. Thank you to Ms. Rooney and Ms. Garvey for organising.
