Soccer news
Well done to our u15 soccer team on getting their season off to a great start with a 6-1 victory against St. Michael’s in the Leinster Cup yesterday.
There was little between the teams in the first half with the game remaining 0-0 for much of the first half before Riain Dunning and James McBride scored in the run up to half time. St. Michael’s had the best possible start to the second half with a super goal. Leaving the game in the balance at 2-1. Thankfully Aaron Parle Kinsella found the back of the net with an absolute screamer. Following this Arklow pushed further ahead with goals from Cillian McDonald, Odhran Cullen and Mark Gleeson.
All 18 players used yesterday played a huge part in the outcome, well done all and thank you to TY coach Aaron Reddin.
Scorers:

Gaeltacht trip
Bhí turas iontach ag ár ndaltaí chuig Coláiste na Rinne. Bhí an aimsir go maith agus bhí chuile dhuine I ndea-ghiúmar. Rinne na daltaí an iarracht maidir le labhairt na Gaeilge agus tháinig gach duine abhaile le I bhfad níos mó Gaeilge agus cuimhní deasa. Mhol na cinnirí na leaids mar gheall ar a gcuid iompar agus iarrachtaí.
Our students had a very successful trip to the Gaeltacht in Coláiste na Rinne . The weather was good and everyone was in high spoirts. The students made a fantastic effort and they all came home with more Irish and lovely memories. The college staff praised the boys for their impeccable manners, behaviour and participation. Beatha an teanga í a labhairt.
Bin -It Workshop for 2nd Years
Our 2nd Years took part in a fun filled workshop facilitated by Bin It. The aim of Bin It is to educate and raise awareness of issues surrounding litter and correct litter disposal amongst students. Bin It! features an actor-led workshop which visits secondary schools across participating local authority areas. The workshop, which is aimed at first and second-year students, incorporates a theatre-in-education session which encourages students to dispose of gum litter, and litter more generally, in a responsible manner. Thanks to Ms. A. Kinsella for organising.
