The First Years did themselves proud against much older competition. They worked hard & presented beautifully. They will be a force to be reckoned with. Maith sibh Dominik Swiergocki, Jack Byrne & Peter Lappin.
A huge word of praise must go to our Senior team. Patrick was outstanding on the night but none of this could have happened without 2 individuals who filled in for 2 missing members the day of the competition. To be prepared to stand up for the school the morning of the competition, to work so hard during the day & to deliver so well 8 hours later is highly commendable. Comhghairdeachas Diarmuid O Connor, Shree Shingnapure & Patrick Dickenson. Speedy recovery to Niall O Donovan & a big thanks to Tony Xue who has done so much for Irish debating in the last few years.
1st Year Football
Hard luck to our 1st year footballers on their loss to an experienced Wexford CBS side yesterday in the Wicklow-Wexford league played in the sunny south east. Unfortunately we were missing a few key players on the day but will regroup and learn from it. There are brighter days ahead!
Athletics News
A huge well done to Owen Gibbons who placed 16th in the East Leinster Schools Cross Country Championships this week. Owen competed against several East Leinster Schools at the Phoenix Park this week and finished the 2500m Junior A race with a time of 10:12!

Senior Rugby success
A huge congratulations and well done to our senior rugby team on their 17-0 victory against St.Kevin’s Community College, Dunlavin in Naas during the week.
Junior Hurling
The very best of luck to our Junior hurling team who will have their first competitive hurling match in the Wicklow league against St. David’s Greystones on Tuesday. We will have a match report next week.
Dates for your diary
A reminder to parents of 5th years that an online parent teacher meeting via Teams will take place on Thursday February 3rd. Also a parent teacher meeting for the parents of 2nd year students will take place on Monday February 7th. We would encourage all parents to attend this online meeting for an update on your son’s academic performance.
