U17 Soccer Success
Well done to our U17 soccer team on their great win last week in the Leinster Cup against Borris Vocational school. Among those who scored were Jack Murray, Páidí Kavanagh, Kian Scanlon, Patrick Boyle, Jack Flusk and Seán ó’Neill.
TY Trip
Our Transition Years enjoyed a trip to GOQuest in Carrickmines last week where they were challenged mentally and physically. The students had a fantastic day out. Thanks to Ms.Byrne, Ms.Rooney and Majella for accompanying the students.

Our Irish debating teams got off to a flying start in the national Gael Linn debating competition with our two teams progressing to the next round. The successful Junior Team were captained by Peter Lappin and the other members of the team were Dominik Swiergocki, Sylvester Bourke and Tommie Kavanagh.
Our senior team included captain Patrick Dickenson, Niall O’Donovan, Tony Xue and Shree Signapure. A word of thanks to Adam Molloy and Patrick Doyle who helped and supported all the way through.
Positive Affirmation Committee
This week a number of Junior students have been recommended to PAC for meeting milestones on their merit sheets. Well done to each of them as they continue to display excellent behaviour and positive contribution to the school community.

CBS Trade Fair
On Tuesday the 7th December, Arklow CBS TY and 5th LCVP class will be holding their annual trade fair. This has become one of the highlights or our school calendar.
The enterprise transition year students have been working hard on their individual mini companies. These students will be promoting and selling their products at the trade fair.
Our LCVP students will be holding a raffle with prizes comprising of many lovely products from local businesses around the town. Thank you to all who have sponsored the prizes for this raffle. Your continued generosity and support are very much appreciated.
The prices for the tickets are:
1 ticket @ 50c
1 strip @ €2
3 strips @ €5
All proceeds will be going to our selected charities: Talk to Tom and Meals on Wheels.

Hurling Training
It was great to hear the “clash of the ash” again in Arklow CBS this week with the commencement of our hurling training. The students were put through their paces by Mr.Kearney and Mr.Regan. Training continues every Wednesday after school. All welcome.
1st Year French Breakfast
Ms. King’s 1st years enjoyed a Covid friendly French breakfast this week. The students enjoyed the cultural experience and the food. The students were treated to les croissants, les pains au chocolat, les madelines and brioche. Tout le monde a bien mangé.
