Stand Up Week in Arklow CBS.

As part of national “stand up week”, Arklow CBS organised a “rainbow day” on Friday November 19th. This was a non-uniform day where all students and staff were encouraged to wear colourful clothes in rainbow shades to celebrate our inclusive school community. The pride flag flew proudly outside our school for the week. Well done to all involved.

Due to the large numbers involved we will not be able to facilitate any changes to the schedule and thank you in advance for your continued support and cooperation. More details on this meeting can be found on the school website.

Success for Zach Waldron in the Texaco Art Competition

A big congratulations to Zach Waldron, 2nd year on his success in this year’s 67th Texaco Children’s Competition. Zach was awarded a Certificate of Commendation for his wonderful portrait of his grandfather.

There were thousands of entries to the competition this year and entries were judged by a panel of five judges. They included Prof. Declan McGonagle, Former Director of NCAD, Dr. Denise Ferran, former President of RUA, Mr. Sean Kissane, Curator at IMMA etc.

The standard of art was exceptional, and we are very proud of Zach’s achievement. Well done!
