Sleep & Routine Message for Students

Sleep & Routine Message for Students
30-April-20

Just a reminder that school starts at 8.50 each morning and ends 3.50pm. In order to maintain this routine, Monday to Friday and to ensure that you can complete your homework, it is essential for your well-being that you get a good night’s sleep. Experts recommend turning all devices off half an hour before sleep. Devices should be turned off Sunday night to Thursday night at a reasonable time. Also napping during the day decreases the likelihood of a good night’s sleep.

Poor sleep patterns lead to an inability to get up in the morning, loss of concentration, frustration and may affect your mental health. As you draw to the end of 6th Year in difficult circumstances we ask that you give yourself the best opportunity possible to succeed in your Leaving Certificate. Turn your electronic devices off before 11pm; get some sleep and wake up refreshed and ready for learning. This is more challenging during this Corona Virus pandemic but these good sleep patterns will be needed repeatedly in your life ahead.

In addition, can you check your timetable regularly as sometimes classes are happening but have not been scheduled. It is up to you to check.
If anyone needs any assistance please contact either myself or your tutor.
