Transition Year Film School

Transition Year students attended film school over 16th and 17th October held in the school and ran by  The Reelists Mr. O' Regan and Mr. Flavin . The students found it very interesting.

Work Experience

Transition Year students completed their first week of work experience from 20th to 24th October. They had placements in various companies and work places in and around the town and many thanks to all employers for their help in this experience.


Transition Year students had a talk on volunteering in connection with Gaisce on 15th October.Thank you to Fiona Downes from Arklow Volunteering Centre for her talk on different community groups and how to get involved volunteering.

Maths Week

As part of Maths week the Transition Year students designed some maths puzzles for first year classes. Competitions were held and prizes were given. Well done to all who participated.
Schools AthleticsOn Wednesday 7th October, athletes participated in an athletics meeting at the Rocks Pitch Arklow, in first, second and fifth year relays. Well done to all who took part. Students were accompanied by Miss Cummins.

Leinster Cup

The u-17 team had a 4-3 loss against Gael Cholaiste on 15th October and the u-19 won 3-2 against Carnew in Carnew.

U15 Leinster Cup

Our U15 soccer team had a great victory of 10-0 against Creagh College Gorey on 22nd October in Gorey. Scorers were Liam Moore, 3, Sean Crowley, 2, J J Olefeime,2, Brandon Donnelly, 1, Jack O Reilly,1 and Nathan Cullen,1. The team now goes through to the next round. Teacher and coach is Miss Merrigan.

Lunch time Homework Club

A homework club is currently running during lunch times with the help of liaison students.

Assessment Week

Third and Sixth year students had an assessment week during the last week before mid term break.Wishing everyone a Happy Halloween Break and see you all on the return to school on 3rd November.
