Junior Certificate 2011
This year, the parents' Council decided to put together an eventful and fun day of activities for all students awaiting results, so the students were taken by bus to Bray where they went paintballing for the morning. Returning to school in the afternoon to receive their results. Staff and students were very pleased with their results and we would like to congratulate all the students on their result. We would like to acknowledge and thank the parents for all their support and cooperation.
TY
On Tuesday 6th of September 2011 our TY students went on bonding Hill walk in Glendalough with Mr. Sheehy. This week, their Personal Development course commenced and it will run for 2 hours each week for the next 10 weeks.
President Mary McAleese
10 of our luck Liaison students will form part of the Student Guard of Honour for the President outside Sts. Mary & Peter\'s Church on Saturday 17th September 2011. Members of the Board of Management will meet with the President for a photograph to commemorate our 5oth anniversary which we are also celebrating on Saturday.
Higher Options
This year, we are taking put 5th Year students to the Higher options conference in the RDS on Friday 16th September 2011.
New Canteen
Our new canteen is proving very popular with the students as our new facility allows us to offer hot dinners everyday as well as hot snacks for morning break and breakfast from 08:10 until 08:45.
GAA
This year, we are entering a Senior Arklow team in the Leinster which will field students from Arklow Community College, Gaelcholáiste Na Mara and Arklow CBS. Our first training session will be on Tuesday 20th September in Pearse Park from 12:30- 13:30.
Soccer
A number of our senior students have attended the selection trials for the Under 17 Wicklow Schools team. We wish them the best of luck with their trials.
