VISIT TO ASH ANIMAL SANCTUARY
Our third years visited Ash Animal Sanctuary on Tuesday 6th December as part of their C.S.P.E. action project.  All students found it to be of great interest and thoroughly enjoyed the day.


WORK EXPERIENCE
Our Transition Year students had a work experience week from 28th of Nov to 2nd Dec, with students going to various places of work including labs, film studios and companies like Arklow Shipping.  They found the week tiring but extremely beneficial!  Many thanks to Ms. Seery for organising the week and also to the many companies who took our students on.


BROOKS WILLIAMS
American singer/songwriter and guitarist recently held a guitar master class on the blues in the school which was attended by 17 guitarists. All students found it to be a great class and some students will be performing some of his music at the Christmas Concert.


TOMI REICHENTAL
The Transition Years along with the Fifth Year History class and Second Year English classes attended a two hour lecture delivered by Tomi Reichental this week. Mr. Reichental told the story of his childhood and survival in Belsen Concentration camp. Our students were captivated by his moving and thought provoking story. Mr. Reichental brought a tragic history that should never be forgotten to life in the classroom.  He has written a book on his experiences entitled, I WAS A BOY IN BELSEN, which is out now.  The Principal purchased some copies of this for the school library.  Mant thanks to Ms. White for organising the talk.


HISTORICAL TOUR
Our Transition Year students recently completed a historical walking tour of Dublin City, with Ms. Lee and Ms. Kinsella.  All enjoyed a great day out.  Many thanks to Ms. Lee and Ms.  Kinsella for organising.


FRENCH FILM
Our Transition Year and Fifth Year students attended PANIQUE AU VILLAGE recently in the Mermaid Theatre in Bray with Ms. King and Mr. Mc Donagh.  All thoroughly enjoyed the film.  Many thanks to Ms. King and Mr. Mc Donagh for organising.


CAROL SINGING
Our school choir will be singing Christmas Carols in Bridge Water Shopping Centre on Thursday 15th December with music teacher Miss Lee.  Many thanks to Ms. Lee for organising.


PARENT TEACHER MEETING
Our First Year parent teacher meeting is on Thursday 15th December.


CHRISTMAS CONCERT
On Thursday 22nd December our school will be having our annual Christmas Concert.  This event gives students and indeed some teachers the opportunity to showcase their talents to the whole school!  The event is being organised by music teacher Ms. Lee.
