FIRST YEAR HURLING BLITZ
Our first year students took part recently in a 7 a side hurling blitz for Co. Wicklow schools at Arklow Sports and Leisure Centre. Our first years were the overall winners beating Wicklow Community College in the final 16-15. Our team played seven games, won six of these and drew one. A big congratulations to the team and their coach, Joe Connors.
SECOND YEARS
Our second year students also took place in a 5 a side hurling blitz for Co. Wicklow schools at Arklow Sports and Leisure Centre recently. They came in second place overall. Again well done to the boys and their coach, Joe Connors.
PLAY: MACBETH
On Monday 20th February, Mr. Ryan and Mr. O Regan took our fifth year students to see Macbeth in the Helix, Dublin, performed by Second Age Productions. They thoroughly enjoyed the play.
MUSIC WINNERS
On Friday, 17th February, some of our students were runners up in the Irish Youth Music Awards held in Arklow Youth Centre. The Vault, The Band, The Social Donuts, comprising of third year student Callum Nolan and fifth year students, Aaron Dunne and Jason Mc Carthy came in runners up as well as third year student David Hogan, guitarist who played with singer Ciara O Connell. Congratulations to the musicians!
ATHLETICS
Jamie Cullen, a Transition Year student has recently qualified for the minor all Ireland cross country championships. He came fifth in the Leinsters against some very tough opposition! Well done to Jamie and the best of luck in the up coming event!
PAINT BALLING
our transition year students had an outing to Kilruddery House on Thursday, 23rd February for a paint balling day. All students really enjoyed their day!
