SURFING AS GAEILGE
on the 8th March, 42 students went surfing to the``Freedom Surf School`` in Tramore tocelebrate seachtain na gaeilge. Bhi la iontach ag gach duine!
STUDENT ENTERPRISE AWARDS
three transition year students, Sam Green, Adrain Whelan and Stephen Winters entered the competition with their Crimbo Wreaths company.They enjoyed a great day out with other scools across Co. Wicklow on 9th March in Wicklow.Our team did very well.
on Wednesday, 14th March the CBS choir participated in the Emmanuel concert, at the Helix, Dublin, joining some six hundred students in celebration.Our soloists, were brothers, Forest Winters and Independence Winters. All students had a fantastic day out.
TREE PLANTING AT SERVIER
Our principal, Mr. Somers, along with Fifth year students Steven Doyle and Gary Kirwan joined other schools from the area at the Servier factory on Friday, 9th March, for a presentation on their carbon footprint and reducing their emissions. The company's aim is to plant 1000 trees every year for the next 10 years. All schools planted one tree each, with the name of their school on it.
Our junior Gaelic team had a very exciting match this week against Kilcoole CCA. All was level with two minutes to go but the opposition pulled through in the end with a final score of 3-9 to 1-10 to them.
Local secondary schools, including our students from Transition Year participated in a tag rugby event in Arklow Community School on Thursday, 15th March. Students were put into teams combining students from the different schools. A great time was had by all.
The minor boys soccer team had a great win in the final of the Wicklow/ Wexford minor boys league on the 15th March in Lamberton against Gaelcholaiste na Mara. The final score to win the match was 2-1. Our goal scorers were second year student Darren Furlong and first year student Ross Hanley. A big congratulations to the team and teacher Mr. Collins.
