First year soccer

The first year team were unlucky to be beaten 3 – 2 in some very bad weather conditions when they played against Colaiste Bride Carnew last Wednesday.  Tom Somers got the first goal for the CBS after some good team play.  Carnew broke away and scored a goal while the defence weren’t concentrating but Rokas Kneizys made the most of the wind and scored a superb individual goal.  Unfortunately the wind didn’t do the CBS any favours in the second half and Carnew scored two goals.  Best for the CBS on the day were Ciaran O’ Shea and Eoghan O’ Neill in defence while Captain James Larkin also put in a fine display!

TY law school

Our TY class recently enjoyed a two day law school with Barrister James Fahy from Galway.  The group got to participate in a mock trial and thoroughly enjoyed the two days.  Our students would like to sincerely thank Mrs Aine Hogan of Aine S. Hogan Solicitors for so generously sponsoring the course once again this year!

Leinster Swimming Championships.

Congratulations must go to our second year student Thomas Ravenscroft who won gold medal in the 100 metres breaststroke and silver medal in the 100metres back stroke in the Leinster Swimming Championships last weekend.  Well done Thomas and best of luck in your future competitions!

TY and Fifth Year Retreat

Our senior students recently participated in our annual school retreat in Aras Lorcain Arklow.  Students found the day very interesting and certainly provided them with much food for thought.

Mock Exams

Our third and sixth year students are currently in the middle of their mock exams.  Students are working very hard and certainly these mock exams are a valuable tool as they prepare for the state exams in June.
