MUSIC
Arklow CBS was recently awarded a music grant from Music Generation and have bought a brand new piano for the school music room. This is a wonderful addition to our collection of instruments in the music department.
SOCCER
We played against Presentation College, Bray in the Wicklow, Wexford semi final, losing 7-6 on penalties to reigning champions, Presentation College Bray. After a 3 all draw, it came down to penalties. Sean Hurley and Cormac Breslin had a particularly good match. An unfortunate ending to an unbeaten season!

Arklow CBS had a great victory here with a 5-1 result. Thomas Farrell, Darren Furlong and Ross Hanley gave particularly good performances on the day.
U-15 WICKLOW, WEXFORD SEMI- FINAL AGAINST GOREY C.S
Rokas Kniezws scored an excellent hat trick to secure our unbeaten u-15 team's passage to the final against a strong Gorey team. Eoghan O Neill, James Larkin And Ciaran O Shea were excellent on the day!
FIRST YEAR SOCCER AGAINST GOREY C.S.
Our first years recently had a great win against Gorey C.C. Our team were down 2-0 in the first half but came back with 3 goals in the last 10 minutes, 2 from Nathan Cullen and 1 from Conor Breslin. Well done to the team!
IRISH PLAY
Our 6th year Irish students recently enjoyed a visiting play by High Rock Productions in Irish. The students thoroughly enjoyed this workshop for the Irish Orals.
GAA
Our students in transition year are currently participating in on going GAA coaching with Mr. Anyhony Nolan. Congratulations to our senior B gaelic football team who recently had a victory against Baltinglass to proceed to the final of the Wicklow league.
FILM SCHOOL
Our transition year students recently did, `"make a movie course" given by The Reelists, in which they produced around 6 short films. All students found it to be very interesting!
TY students are also participated in a healthy eating work shops over the next 4 weeks.
BREAK THE CYCLE OF SUICIDE
Our TY students attended the RDS on the 15th January, for a presentation on the prevention of suicide. Various groups sang and gave performances on the day, which was attended by approx. 4000 students.
GOSPEL QUIZ
On the 16th January, our TY students participated in and attended a Gospel Quiz in Arus Lorcain..Out teams consisting of Robert Kelly, Cian Lee and Gerald Douglas and Cillian Feehy gained second and third places. Well done to the students!
CATHOLIC SCHOOL WEEK
Our students participated in various activities and had visits from Fr. Murtagh , all as part of Catholic School week.
VISIT FROM IRISH STREET LEAGUE
Our third year students enjoyed a very informative talk this week from the founder of the Irish Street League(homeless world cup) and three speakers, who talked of their own personal experiences. this was part of third year CSPE action project.
