BOOK SWAP

Our students recently participated in  BOOK SWAP as part of World Book Day, where they brought in any read books from home in exchange for different books. The swap took place in the Kincaid Library in the school. A big thank you to Matas Aleksiejus, Nathan Delaney, Cian Browne and Jamie Yeomans who collected the books and prize winners in the free draw were Jack Harris, Colm Byrne, Jamie Yeomans and Nathan Delaney. A thank you to Miss Mc Elheron for organising the swap!

SOCCER

Our u-15 soccer team recently suffered a defeat in the Leinster semi final in Tullow against Newbridge. Well done to the team and Mr. Collins on reaching this stage of the competition and on a successful year overall.

FIRST AID COURSE

Our TY students had a course in first Aid in the school over a few days this week.

MATHS TRIP

Ms Egan and Ms Garvey brought fifth year students of H level maths to Larchhill Scout Centre on 26th March as part of Project Maths.ELEVAN COURSEour second year students are currently doing a businness programme with Elevan for six weeks in the school.

FRENCH FILM

Our TY students recently enjoyed watching a French film in St. Mary's College with their students of French. They also participated in a speed dating event. Planned for the near future is a table quiz in our school with St. Mary's students.

FRANCE/GERMANY SCHOOL TOUR

An Easter tour is planned for 28 students, Miss Stafford and Mr. Somers to Paris for two nights and Munich for two nights. They will travel on Easter Sunday and return the following Thursday.TY, 5th and 6th year students are travelling.

BASKETBALL

Our 1st and 2nd year basketball teams made it to the Leinster semi finals in Avondale on 27th March. Unfortunately, they lost against Carlow Presentation college on the day. Well done to the teams on reaching the semis.

SCHOOL TALENT

Congratulations to Forrest Winters on reaching the Regional finals of Our School's Got Talent competition in the Springhill Court Hotel, Kilkenny on 23rd March.MUSIC PROGRAMME IN THE VAULTtwo of our students, Independence Winters and Niall O Reilly are currently playing in the Vault on Wednesday nights as part of a music programme.

COFFEE MORNINGS FOR THE IRISH CANCER SOCIETY

The Ciorcal Cainte group, consisting of students from 3rd and 6th year and staff recently held student and teacher coffee mornings in aid of The Irish Cancer Society.
