TY students visited Tayto Park on the 3rd May as part of their Enterprise course. They also did a trip to DCU on the 8th May. Some TY students attended Sci Fest on the 9th May. On the 10th May they went paintballing and they have an upcoming trip to Alton Towers to finish their year in style!

Sixth year students had a field trip to Glendalough river Lug Duff on 23rd Nov to measure river processes as part of geography project for Leaving Cert.HOPE IN THE DARKNESSThis voluntary organisation gave a talk to Junior Cert students as part of their Junior Cert projects for CSPE. This organisation serves meals four nights a week outside the GPO to the homeless and receive many donations through facebook.

MENTAL HEALTH WEEK
Students participated in the many events of Mental Health Week, including Smashing Times Theatre group,Bully4U, sports blitz and the Big Sing where the school choir sang along with other local schools.
Senior students enjoyed a trip to Zeminar in the RDS on the 12th Oct, promoting mental health.
TY and fifth year students enjoyed the German movie,"About a Girl", in the Mermaid Theatre, Bray on the 11th Oct.

TRANSITION YEAR PROGRAMME
TY students are currently attending Coral Gym as part of a fitness course and are also doing a healthy eating course over five weeks. In groups they are attending a self defence course in the Bridge Christian Centre.

Lunch time activities are now underway supervised by our senior liaison students. Activities include games, computers and library time.

On Monday 10th November members from the Edmund Rice Schools Trust spoke to TY students about setting up a link with a Christian Brother School in Kanvilli in West Africa. Our students were very interested in what the speakers had to say and we are currently starting to work on the link between the two schools.

On Monday 1oth November, Transition year and fifth year students enjoyed a trip to Dunsink Observatory, Dublin with Miss Egan and Miss Rooney. They attended three talks on space missions, astronauts and the history of the observatory as it's the oldest observatory in the world. The students thoroughly enjoyed the outing.

Transition Year Film School
Transition Year students attended film school over 16th and 17th October held in the school and ran by The Reelists Mr. O' Regan and Mr. Flavin . The students found it very interesting.
Transition Year students completed their first week of work experience from 20th to 24th October. They had placements in various companies and work places in and around the town and many thanks to all employers for their help in this experience.
