Dunsink Observatory On Monday 1oth November, Transition year and fifth year students enjoyed a trip to Dunsink Observatory, Dublin with Miss Egan and Miss Rooney. They attended three talks on space missions, astronauts and the history of the observatory as it's the oldest observatory in the world. The students thoroughly enjoyed the outing. Belfast Trip Second year students accompanied by Miss Egan, Miss Merrigan, Miss Garvey and Ms. Fitzgerald went on a trip to Belfast on wed 12th November .....

Transition Year Film School Transition Year students attended film school over 16th and 17th October held in the school and ran by  The Reelists Mr. O' Regan and Mr. Flavin . The students found it very interesting. Work Experience Transition Year students completed their first week of work experience from 20th to 24th October. They had placements in various companies and work places in and around the town and many thanks to all employers for their help in this experience. Volunteering ....

School News – Week ended 26 September 2014 GEOGRAPHY FIELD TRIP Our Leaving Cert students accompanied by Mr. Ryan had a field trip to Knockree Youth Hostel, Glencree on 17th September. Lead by a guide from An Oige, the trip was based on processes of erosion in a river.   Outdoor Pursuits First year, Second year and Fifth year students enjoyed a day's outing to Baltinglass Outdoor Education Centre with their P.E. teachers on 30th April. Students had a taste of rock climbing, abseiling, canoeing, archery and orienteering on the day.   Song Writing Workshop On May 1st any students interested in music and song writing attended a song workshop given by Beth Nielson Chapman from Nashville, USA, who was touring in Ireland. BOOK SWAP Our students recently participated in  BOOK SWAP as part of World Book Day, where they brought in any read books from home in exchange for different books. The swap took place in the Kincaid Library in the school. A big thank you to Matas Aleksiejus, Nathan Delaney, Cian Browne and Jamie Yeomans who collected the books and prize winners in the free draw were Jack Harris, Colm Byrne, Jamie Yeomans and Nathan Delaney. BASKETBALL-school league On 6th March our first and second year basketball teams enjoyed victories over Baltinglass in Baltinglass. SOCCER-Wicklow/Wexford league On 5th March, our first year soccer team had a great win in the semi- final with a final score of 5-2 against St. David's, Greystones in Greystones. Congratulations to the team on reaching the final with particular mention to Olufemi Tanimowo,who scored 3 goals, Nathan Cullan  and Conor Breslin both scoring 1 each EMMANUEL CONC....

SCIENCE TRIP Our first year students enjoyed an outing on the 12th February to Dell Intel, Leixlip, for a science show as part of engineering week.They saw various explosions and learned about different gases.  BASKETBALL:SCHOOL LEAGUE On 3rd February, our first and second year basketball teams had matches against Avondale, in Avondale.Though our students performed very well they were not victorious on the day! the second year basketball team had a great victory against Colaiste Bhr....
