Golf news
Arklow CBS was well represented at Arklow Links this week, with 8 players taking to the golf course in an Arklow inter-schools competition. Those teeing off were Aaron Reddin, Ross Doyle Roche, Aaron O’Brien, Adam Collier, Oran O’Sullivan, Seán Clarke, Dominic Wright and Liam Flusk. Well done to all and a special word of thanks to first year Liam Flusk on finishing in second place.
Beginning of School Year Mass
Last Friday the school celebrated a beautiful beginning of year school mass in St. Mary’s and Peter’s church. Many thanks to our celebrants Fr. David and Fr. Pádraig for the special ceremony. Well done to our music department for the beautiful music throughout and to all who read and participated in any way. Thank you to the Religion Dept for arranging.
1st Year lunchtime games
The Liaison students are a huge asset to our school and a fantastic help to or First years helping them out every morning and at the various break times. This week saw the Liaison students organise lunch time games and activities for our First Years. A great fun filled lunch break was had by all. A special word of thanks to the Liaison students.
Chess Club
Chess Club is making a welcome return and will run every Tuesday and Thursday in Room 24. All welcome.
World Teacher Day
Thursday the 5th of October was World Teacher Day. Staff were treated to cakes in the staff room while students left a thank you note for the teacher, SNA or staff member of their choice. Thank you to all our wonderful staff members for all you do.

Mental Health Day 2023
We are all excited to celebrate Mental Health Day on Tuesday October 10th. This is an annual event in the school and is always a huge success. A lot of hard work and preparation goes into making this day so enjoyable. A number of events for all students and staff has been organised for the day.
