Arklow CBS are delighted to welcome back our students as we reopen for the new academic year 2022/23.We hope that all the staff and students had a fantastic summer break, and we are all looking forward to a great year here in Arklow CBS. We are especially delighted to extend a big “Céad Míle Fáilte” to our new 1st Years.
First Year Induction
First year induction took place last week . The students met our guidance counsellor, Ms Rooney and their tutors Mr Murphy, Ms Domican and Mr. O'Gorman who soon set them at ease.Ms Merrigan’s fantastic ice breaker games & activities got everyone working together and making lots of noise!We hope all went home looking forward to starting the next chapter of their lives.Our fantastic Liaison Students will be there daily to help anyone with any difficulties.
As well as students we also welcomed some new members of staff including Sinéad Thewlis Jordan, Abbie Healy, Mark Paul Behan and Tara Kinsella.
Leaving Cert Class of 2022
We at Arklow CBS would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our Leaving Cert class of 2022 on receiving theirfantastic Leaving Cert results 2rdand their subsequent 3rd level places. We would like to commend you all on your hard work, patience, and resilience during what was a very different and difficult 2 years for all.We wishour class of 2022 the best of luck as they pursue their chosen 3rd level courses.
Tutor class at 8.45 a.m
REMINDER. We would like to remind all students that tutorial classes are for ALL years at 8.45 a.m EVERY MORNING. Students are asked to be proceed directlyto their tutorial class promptly each morning for roll call.
Extra curricular activites
Gaelic Football
1st and 2nd Year Gaelic football training will start back this Tuesday from 3.10-4.45 with Mr. Fanning. The training is open to all 1st and 2nd Year students. A GUM SHILELD IS COMPULSORY for training.
