Arklow CBS School News Week ended 14th December 18
CAO Evening
Thursday evening saw our two guidance counsellors Ms. Whelan and Ms. Rooney meet with parents of sixth year students to discuss and given them information on the CAO process. This process can be a daunting one for both students and parents so this is a very valuable evening. For anyone who was unable to attend the school office has photocopies of any information given.
Soccer
Both our first year and our under nineteen teams were playing this week but despite their best efforts and some great footballing neither team were successful. Many thanks to Mr. Collins and Ms. Rooney for training and bringing the students.
School Exams
This week saw our first, second and fifth year students sit their annual Christmas exams. Students have been performing really well in these but are now looking forward to their well-deserved Christmas holidays.
TY Song School
Yet again our transition Year Students are busy! This Thursday and Friday they have participated in Song School. Because of its immense popularity song school is now a regular fixture in the TY calendar. Students get to write and record their own songs and receive a cd of their work too. A really enjoyable two days was had by all TY students. Many thanks to MS. Levingstone for organising it.
